“I am a contemporary, figurative, narrative realist oil painter using threads of symbolic connotations intertwined within my work, to create enchanting and thought-provoking artworks. My portrayal of the female figure is often within nature or juxtaposed alongside internal and external forms.
I often bring flora and fauna to the space, with varying symbolism, uniting them with the human form and inviting the viewer to create a dialogue of meaning, or narrative to the piece.”
Emma lives in a seaside town in South East Essex with her three youngest children and her husband.

“If you have any interest in any of the works you see on my site, any questions, or have a commission idea you would love to see realised, please don’t hesitate to contact me”
Video Clip of the Making of ‘The Beginning’
This quick reel that I’ve taken from my Instagram Account shows a little of the process of how this painting was created. Each piece is completely individual, and each piece may be created slightly differently, using whatever technique that I feel would work with my goal for that artwork.
I will be creating a few videos, explaining techniques such as gilding, in various forms, making of gesso from ancient recipes, making of oil paints and egg tempera paints, and many painting techniques shortly, do check in!
